It’s a gorgeous day. Again. There’s nothing like the feeling of the winter lifting, even if it wasn’t much of a winter at all. I just finished lunch with a former teacher, who has become a mentor. He beat his cancer recently. Talking with him fills me with hope and purpose and calm. It always has.
I’m sitting in a coffee shop, in the corner of course, my laptop screen carefully angled to avoid giving people an eyeful of porn, and they’re playing Leonard Cohen and Joni Mitchell and the sun is beaming through the window and resting on my face and I’m happy. Really happy.
For a few years I have been working on being more present in my life, being present in the moment, appreciating my blessings, seeing things for what they really are. The challenge is to feel that way during the tough times. Through the struggle and chaos. But it’s so easy in moments like this. So simple.

I’ve already decided to wear my sluttiest lingerie on Saturday when we have our date with Cub. I’m torn between the black lace barely there bodysuit or the garter with stockings and no panties.
